Love Month

I am not a big fan of valentines. Baka defense mechanism lang. Pero this year was different. It was the first time I spent it with a special someone :). He picked me up at the office and we spent the evening together. Knowing him, I know it's really an effort. And I'm really glad he did it because it made me love him more ♥

+++

I also went home to the province last month. It was a BLAST! I mean, it was more than what I expected. You see, my brothers and I rarely get together. I think this is the first time that we all went together to the province, as in family lang namin. Walang aunts, walang cousins. Except for a close friend (Chesca was with us). Nakapag bond kami through DS, PSP, eating, smoking, drinking (with our Lolo who drinks red horse), etc. Eheheheh.

+++

Also went to Galera last weekend with my girlfriends! Ang saya kasi sunog kami lahat, ehehehhe. And nakapag relax kami. Ehehehe. ANG HIRAP MAG UNDERWATER POSE!! eheheheh.. Sana talaga I have my own PC na para I could post my pictures.. haaaay...

+++

Sabi ko I'll try to update as much as possible, ang nangyayari puro recap lang.. huhuhu...

Naglalakad na ko

Finally, I can blog about Cebu.

Day 1

We left saturday morning (June 30) and arrived at Mactan International Airport. We headed to the port to go to Bantayan Island. We stayed at Kota beach resort, and luckily we got to see the sand bar. Afterwards, before snorkeling, we went to Ogtong resort to see the cave. When we were about to go snorkeling it rained (bummer), so we went back to Kota. Nothing beats beach + beer + cigs + cool weather. We ate dinner at "Marisqueara O Portuguese", eat all you can baby for only 195 bucks! Seafoods itech! Gusto ko pa mag crabs, kaya lang I was too full. After eating we were tired so we headed back to the resort for a drinking session. It was a perfect setting... drinks, full moon, summer playlist, and great friends. Tamang inom lang, we weren't drunk at all before we went to bed.

Day 2

The weather was finally clearing up. Breakfast and photoshoot before we went to Malapascua. It was a 2 hour boat ride (ng walang sandalan). We were hoping the rain clouds we saw won't reach Malapascua. Malapascua is a small island that you can tour in 2 hours by foot (sabi sa brochure.. hahaha). We checked-in at Blue Coral Resort. The view from our veranda was great! Nakakatuwa.. heheheh.. We had lunch at La Dolce Vita. Panalo! Promising! Gusto namin mag franchise! Hahaha. My 300+ worth of lunch was woooorth it! Gambiretti alla Sorentina.. yum! And also their panna cotta. Hahaha. God was good. The rain in bantayan was a blessing. You see, we were not planning to snorkel in Malapascua. But since it rained in Bantayan, we decided to go snorkeling. We also saw that the place beside the view from our veranda was acutally a graveyard, creepy ahahahha. We had dinner (which did not reach the oomph level of La Dolce Vita) and went back to the resort to sleep.

Day 3

Some of us woke up early for massage, while I stayed in bed. Hehehe. After breakfast, we headed to the beach for some swim and sun. Some kids were even fishing while we were swimming.. as in sa shore.. Ang linaw ng tubig dun sobra! I just love it. Photoshoot ren, pyramids, jumps and dove poses (which I do not there show you guys =p). Had early lunch at La Dolce Vita, sarap kasi eh. Tapos we got ready to leave Malapascua for the city. Muntikan na nga kami di makaalis because we were left behind by the ferry (mga late kami ehehhehe). Buti na lang may mga special trips. Ang haba ng biyahe from the port to the city! It was already dark when we arrived in the city. A little cleaning up and rest before we headed to TOPS for dinner. Sayang lang we forgot to bring our tripod.. and jackets. Pero ok ren. The food was ok, lasang tocino yung barbecue. After dinner (and picture picture), we went to Ayala mall for coffee. Bo's coffee kami since locally made naman sya. I like it better than Starbucks because starbucks coffee is too sweet for me. After coffee, we headed back to the hotel to rest. It was the latest sleep for me sa whole cebu trip.. 1 AM.. o diba?? ang tanda ko na I can't stay up late anymore. Hehe.

Day 4

City tour! We first went to Sergio Osmeña's ancestral home. Interesting place. Cool cadillac. 1940's ata yun tapos aircon na and auto transmission. Next stop, Basilica del Sto Niño and Magellan's cross. Then Philippines Taoist temple before going to sutokil. Mehn! Seafoods galore!! Well the city tour was spent more on photo-ops. Hehehe. We arrived at the airport an hour early so we had to wait.

I had fun at Cebu, but it's such a big place. Four days is not enough. Hehehe. Panalo yung mga kasama ko =D. Maraming memorable "lines" (especially from Joy, example na lang yung title ng post) and places. I want to go back, especially to Malapascua (beacause of the place itself and La Dolce Vita).

Anyway, the above post is too detailed. Haha! Rami kasi namin ginawa and I was too tired to blog agad, kaya yan.. walang thrill. Hehe.

Oh did I tell you I almost drowned? Well not really, I just got tired from threading in the water. Before the "almost drowned" part, manong bangkero was nice enough to throw the ropes to help me go back to the pump boat.

And the japanese shipwreck rocks! Kahit unti lang nakita since takot na ko lumayo, and I'm tired. Ehehehe..

Tapos, yung dinner sa malapascua, we were beside japanese guys who were with pinays who were loud. They keep shouting "shot! shot! kiss! kiss!" (I'm not sure if it was shoot or shot pero they were drinking so I assumed na shot). But then, nice naman yung isang pinay dun kasi we got to ask her for directions.

Rami foreigners sa Malapascua, some stay for weeks, and the people are nice (except for one crazy lady). Nicer than those in Bantayan. Mas ma-asikaso sila eh.
Photo-ops are rampant too! A lesson I learned during our snorkeling trip, iikutin pala namin yung island, eh I thought dadaanan namen ulit yung mga nde ko na kunan ng pictures.

The first italian restaurant in Malapascua?

Basta, masaya sya. And maganda. I don't advice staying in the city if you're in Cebu, malaki sya so go explore!

Just like Baler, for more info visit Shelley's blog. Although di pa na post as of the moment. Some of the pictures are taken by Shelley, Joy, Tar and MJ. Maybe I'll post more picture on my next posts.

+++

But seriously, while waiting for the plane, I can't wait to go home. I missed Manila. Hehehe.. The trip helped a lot, since I realized that when I got to work, I accomplished more than what I usually finish. Hehe.. Refreshing kasi... Can't wait for the next PLG trip =D

Talipanan

I had this training last week and it made me sick.. literally sick.. as in fever and all.. ang lamig kasi sa training room plus it was mind draining. Dagdag mo pa yung weather sa labas na sobrang init na I had to endure just to keep my body warm. Anyway, I thought that I won't be able to go to Talipanan with my officemates, but the meds work. Yay yay!!

Anyways....

Talipanan is way better than White Beach galera.. less people, clearer water, and less boats.. heheheh...

We stayed at Bamboo Lodge (or Bamboo House.. I forgot), and the people were friendly. They also serve great mango shakes! yum =9

Since I need to rest, I have no realy physical activity when I went there.. in fact, I fell asleep on the beach.. yeye.. ehehhehe.. But I took my camera with me so I just took pictures of my officemates who were enjoying what they were doing.

Check out the other pictures at my multiply account. I love my new camera.. rme ko natututunan everytime I use it.. hihi.. ^_^

Finally! I got to post pictures on my blog. My brother and I bought our wireless rounter and I have my laptop back for a while (since my friend's going to borrow it for a few days). Anyway, I still have to rest.. no I'm ok na.. past time ko lang talaga ang matulog.. ehehehhe...

+++

Bohol

Okaaaay.. since there's no photoshop in my bro's pc, you just have to see this for the pictures. However, those are just from my phone =(.

Mehn!! Bohol is the coolest place I've ever been to. I wanna go back!!!

Our flight was around 6 am so we have to be in the airport early.. It was my first time to board a plane. I just have to take the window seat. I can feel my ear bursting but I don't care. My mind was wandering.. I imagine myself jumping off the plane and landing on a puffy cloud.. hahaha.. I felt like a kid.

We arrived at bohol and met Kuya Tata. He's one of the locals who wait for tourists at the airport to tour them around for a fee of course. But he was nice. We first went to see the blood compact site. We embarassed ourselves by trying to identify who is Magellan. Tata answered us "Si Datu Sikatuna yan at si Legazpi... si Magellan asa Cebu". Hahahah... Just shows how much I learned at history class. We then went straight to see the famous chocolate hills. It was a beautiful sight. We climbed more than 200 steps just to see the view. Next stop was the butterfly farm whose name I forgot. The people there were really friendly. They explained to us how butterflies mate, live and grow. I understood more from them than my science teachers. Hehehehe.. We then went on our way, took some pictures of the man-made forest that according to Kuya Tata was made during the 1950's. We also went to see this hanging bridge. It was scary to cross it. But it seemed stronger than the ones I see on TV. We took a bamboo raft to get back to the other side.

Next stop? Lunch at the Loboc River. You pay 260 bucks for a buffet lunch while you cruise the river. We had to wait for almost an hour for a floating resto. Because we were so hungry, we were already finished with our lunch before the.. err.. boat left the dock. Mehn, the river was amazing. It made up for the waiting, and not so good food. I had to stop myself jumping in the water. It was so relaxing that I wanted to sleep on the floor. I have to take the Loboc River Cruise when we get back to Bohol.

I also got to see tarsiers!!! They're so cute I want to bring them home. Ehehehhe.. The "ale" that take cares of the tarsiers is kinda rude so we weren't really that enthusiastic staying there.

We stayed at Dumaluan Beach Resort. The room was ok, the water from the shower is less salty than Alona's Beach Resort (well, that's what Lowy said...). The water was clear and the beach was clean.. except for some seaweed that you wouldn't mind. I was so tired that after dinner, I took a shower and hit the bed.

Next morning, we went Dolphin watching (where I saw dolphins from a gazillion meters away, but I don't care at that time.. at least I saw some) then we went snorkeling at Balicasag Island. It was also my first time and I was so amazed. The corals were just right in front of me, especially the colorful, salt-watered fishes. I never thought that fishes are bread addicts.. hahaha.. I was scared that they would bit my fingers off. After snorkeling, we went to Virgin Island where we could see the sand bar. It was still low tide so the sand bar was longer than usual. We sun bathed a while then played frisbee and just when it was about to rain, we headed of back to the resort.

After lunch (yes, there's more).. the land tour continues. We went to the Hinagdanan cave. I was scared at first because it was dark. The water was tempting, but I imagined the lochness monster coming out from it. After a few pictures, I knew I just had to dive in. Well, not really dived but you know what I mean. Aha! I conquered my fear. *lol*. From the cave, we went to Mag-aso falls. The one that you see on WOW Magic Sing =). It was a beauty. I slipped on one of the rocks, but I'm still alive.. ehehhehe. Too bad I left my phone on the car so I have no pictures of it right now.

For all those who are going to Bohol. You have to have dinner at the Bohol Bee Farm. I swear! It's one of my fondest memories. The food is great and so are the staff. The ambiance is wonderful! I just have to go back. When? I do not know. Heheheh..

We headed back to the resort, cleaned ourselves up, and the inuman session (which is always on the itenerary). A few hours later it was good night for me.

Too bad we have to leave the next day. I woke up late, meaning it lessened my final sun bathing time. We had breakfast, packed our bags and left the resort. The flight was delayed, but I really don't care because part of me does not want to leave bohol yet.

Now I really want to travel more.

A few extras:
*Bohol was so clean that I was hesitant to smoke cigs (but still did)
**One thing I disliked about Bohol is some of the people are not that friendly. I don't know if it's because we're not foreigners or they're just not really friendly.
***Tortillos at the resort costs 45 bucks, and taquitos costs 65. You have to pay for drinking water and styro's (for take out) are not free and is taxable. Unlike in the Bee Farm where there are water dispensers
****Thank God for Cebu Pacific.
